INJUSTICE OF YAHWEH IS RIDICULOUS, SEE FOR YOURSELF

.

----------------------------------------------

"To the woman [Eve] he [God] said, 'I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children'"

Genesis 3:16, Bible (NIV)

Why is it right for all women to pay for the sins of the mother? And by the way, now we know that epidurals and C-sections are truly the work of the Fallen One.

----------------------------------------------

"As he [Abram] was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, 'I know what a beautiful woman you are. When the Egyptians see you, they will say, "This is his wife." Then they will kill me but will let you live. Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.' When Abram came to Egypt, ...she [Sarai] was taken into his [Pharaoh's] palace. He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels. But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai."

Genesis 12:11-17, Bible (NIV); similar: Genesis 20:1-18

Pimp your wife out, get rich. Don't worry, if you're God's buddy, he'll find someone else to punish. Abraham did it twice. God, in his turn, punished people who had nothing to do with it twice.

----------------------------------------------

"The Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah — from the Lord out of the heavens. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities"

Genesis 19:24-25, Bible (NIV)

Did children also deserve to be burned alive? God doesn't bother himself with such insignificant details.

----------------------------------------------

"Esau came in from the open country, famished. He said to Jacob, 'Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!' ... Jacob replied, 'First sell me your birthright.' 'Look, I am about to die,' Esau said. 'What good is the birthright to me?' But Jacob said, 'Swear to me first.' So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob."

Genesis 25:29-33, Bible (NIV)

God's buddy Jacob extorted his brother Esau's holy birthright as he was dying of starvation, and God approved of this dirty deal.

----------------------------------------------

"Jacob said to his father, 'I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game, so that you may give me your blessing.'"

Genesis 27:19, Bible (NIV)

God's buddy Jacob, through direct lies, stole the critical mega-blessing that belonged to Esau, and God was totally fine with that.

----------------------------------------------

"Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the Lord's sight; so the Lord put him to death. Then Judah said to Onan, 'Sleep with your brother's wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to raise up offspring for your brother.' But Onan knew that the child would not be his; so whenever he slept with his brother's wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from providing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the Lord's sight; so the Lord put him to death also."

Genesis 38:7-10, Bible (NIV)

Raping a widow so that your vengeful sky-wizard can complete his human Pokemon collection? Good. Remaining willing to choose whom to have children with? Death sentence, according to God.

----------------------------------------------

"The Lord said to Moses... 'I will harden Pharaoh's heart, ... he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions'"

Exodus 7:1-4, Bible (NIV)

God: "I will take away one person's free will and force him to make decisions just so that I could punish an entire country for decisions I forced him to make". It's hard to come up with a more unfair judgment than this.

----------------------------------------------

"The Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he was not willing to let them go... Now the Lord had said to Moses, 'I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt... Every firstborn son in Egypt will die... and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.'"

Exodus 10:27-11:5, Bible (NIV)

God used Pharaoh as a puppet to have an excuse for committing atrocities not once, but ten times, ending with murdering the firstborn of every family. Injustice at its finest. And what did the cattle do to deserve killing it?

----------------------------------------------

"For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death."

Exodus 35:2, Bible (NIV)

"They found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation... And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones"

Numbers 15:32-35, Bible (KJV)

A godly "balance" of crime and punishment: death for working. There isn't even a victim in this pseudo-crime.

----------------------------------------------

"If anyone becomes aware that they are guilty — if they unwittingly touch anything ceremonially unclean... or if they touch human uncleanness... or if anyone thoughtlessly takes an oath to do anything, whether good or evil... As a penalty for the sin they have committed, they must bring to the Lord a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering"

Leviticus 5:2-6, Bible (NIV)

Dear Lamb/Goat,
Your clumsy owner accidentally touched something or gave a promise too quickly. Now I want you to be stabbed to death and burnt on an altar. Please don't try to find any fairness or logic in this command. There is none.
Sincerely,
Yahweh.

----------------------------------------------

"If you will not listen to me [God] and carry out all these commands... then I will do this to you:... I will send wild animals against you, and they will rob you of your children..."

Leviticus 26:14,16,22, Bible (NIV)

Killing children is one of God's favorite punishments. Did the children deserve to be eaten by wild animals for the sins of their parents? It doesn't matter to God when his uncontrollable rage is burning.

----------------------------------------------

"The Kohathites must not go in to look at the holy things, even for a moment, or they will die."

Numbers 4:20, Bible (NIV)

Human life is very cheap for biblical god. Cheaper than taking a look at some metal dishes. If you look, you die.

----------------------------------------------

"Sihon king of Heshbon refused to let us pass through. For the Lord your God had made his spirit stubborn and his heart obstinate in order to give him into your hands, as he has now done. The Lord said to me... 'Now begin to conquer and possess his land'... we took all his towns and completely destroyed them — men, women and children. We left no survivors. But the livestock and the plunder from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves."

Deuteronomy 2:30-35, Bible (NIV)

Let's recap what happened here. To trigger a conflict God used mind control to make king Sihon refuse to let the Israelites pass through his country. Then God commanded the Israelites to conquer the country and kill all civilians, including children. Don't forget grabbing the plunder. This is like drugging a mayor and then killing entire city for mayor being high. What a divine example of justice and morality.

----------------------------------------------

"A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to his tenth generation"

Deuteronomy 23:2, Bible (KJV)

God doesn't want to hang out with you if your affectionate great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandpa pulled out too late. By the way, Jesus is technically a bastard.

----------------------------------------------

"No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord, not even in the tenth generation."

Deuteronomy 23:3, Bible (NIV)

God doesn't want to hang out with you if your great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandpa was born in an Ammonite or Moabite family. As if you or he had a choice as to where to be born.

----------------------------------------------

"You may charge a foreigner interest, but not a fellow Israelite"

Deuteronomy 23:20, Bible (NIV)

For God, the morality or immorality of charging interest depends on the nationality of the borrower.

----------------------------------------------

"If you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees... The fruit of your womb will be cursed"

Deuteronomy 28:15-18, Bible (NIV)

God is trying to prove his love for people by threatening to curse the children of disobedient parents.

----------------------------------------------

"The Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan... took some of them. So the Lord's anger burned against Israel... The Lord said to Joshua... 'Whoever is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him'... Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the gold bar, his sons and daughters... Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them... Then the Lord turned from his fierce anger."

Joshua 7:1-26, Bible (NIV)

God's "justice" demands burning sons and daughters if their dad grabbed a wrong item. Only then God's anger can cool down.

----------------------------------------------

"His [Eli's] sons, however, did not listen to their father's rebuke, for it was the Lord's will to put them to death."

1 Samuel 2:25, Bible (NIV)

God mind-controlled the guys to not listen, so he could have an excuse to put them to death.

----------------------------------------------

"A man of God came to Eli and said to him, 'This is what the Lord says... "Why do you scorn my sacrifice and offering that I prescribed for my dwelling?"... Now the Lord declares... "no one in your family line will ever reach old age... all your descendants will die in the prime of life."'"

1 Samuel 2:27-33, Bible (NIV)

If you want to live long, you need to somehow make sure your grandpa doesn't upset God, because God likes punishing innocent descendants.

----------------------------------------------

"He [God] smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the Lord, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men"

1 Samuel 6:19, Bible (KJV)

God killed 50,070 people for looking into a metal box. God's love is truly unlimited, but to a metal box instead of people.

----------------------------------------------

"Samuel said to [king] Saul... 'The Lord Almighty says: "I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt [~400 years ago]. Now go, attack the Amalekites... Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants"'"

1 Samuel 15:1-3, Bible (NIV)

God insists that the Israelites completely annihilate all the Amalekites as a revenge for a one-time assault of the Israelites that happened around 400 years ago! Everyone who was alive back then died centuries ago. But God's craving for a massacre is much stronger than his analytical skills.

----------------------------------------------

"Because you [Saul] did not obey the Lord or carry out his fierce wrath against the Amalekites... The Lord will deliver both Israel and you into the hands of the Philistines."

1 Samuel 28:18-19, Bible (NIV)

God's unfair punishment of many people for an action done by one person is very common in the Bible. If this principle of "justice" got applied to a believer in a court, he/she wouldn't be OK with it. But as soon as the same principle applies to others in the Bible, they tend to close their eyes on its flaw, fabricate any number of justifications, and keep treating unjust biblical god as the standard of justice.

----------------------------------------------

"'You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife'... the Lord says... 'I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight... before all Israel.'"

2 Samuel 12:9-12, Bible (NIV)

In this episode, God plans to punish the murderer by having his wives raped in a rape-show. What can be more unfair than this? Now, there is a part of your brain — the amygdala — and one of its many functions is to protect core beliefs by triggering creation of excuses, no matter how illogical they are. All people have it, but some take more control over it than others. If you support the Bible, do you have enough control over your amygdala to admit this biblical unfairness?

----------------------------------------------

"David said to Nathan, 'I have sinned against the Lord.' Nathan replied, 'The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die. But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die'... On the seventh day the child died."

2 Samuel 12:13-18, Bible (NIV)

God's judicial system is highly incompetent, punishing innocent people from third parties instead of convicted offenders.

----------------------------------------------

"Absalom and all the men of Israel said, 'The advice of Hushai the Arkite is better than that of Ahithophel.' For the Lord had determined to frustrate the good advice of Ahithophel in order to bring disaster on Absalom."

2 Samuel 17:14, Bible (NIV)

God is the master of intrigue, sabotaging good advice so that people choose the bad advice to harm Absalom, and so that it looks as if it was their own fault.

----------------------------------------------

"The anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, 'Go and take a census of Israel'... David was conscience-stricken after he had counted... 'I have sinned greatly in what I have done'... The word of the Lord had come... 'I [God] am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you... Shall there come on you three years of famine in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague in your land?'... David said... 'Let us fall into the hands of the Lord'... So the Lord sent a plague on Israel... and seventy thousand of the people from Dan to Beersheba died."

2 Samuel 24:1-15, Bible (NIV)

God made David do the census, then God plagued and killed 70,000 people as punishment for it. God is the least qualified judge you can imagine.

----------------------------------------------

"When David saw the angel who was striking down the people, he said to the Lord, 'I have sinned; I, the shepherd, have done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done?'"

2 Samuel 24:17, Bible (NIV)

Even vicious mass murderer David is puzzled by God's injustice.

----------------------------------------------

"The Lord said to [king] Solomon, 'Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you... Nevertheless... I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son.'"

1 Kings 11:11-12, Bible (NIV)

Again and again, God unfairly transfers punishments from parents to children.

----------------------------------------------

"As soon as he [Baasha] began to reign, he killed Jeroboam's whole family. He did not leave Jeroboam anyone that breathed, but destroyed them all, according to the word of the Lord given through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite."

1 Kings 15:29, Bible (NIV)

"The word of the Lord came through the prophet Jehu son of Hanani to Baasha and his house, because of all the evil he had done in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger by the things he did, becoming like the house of Jeroboam — and also because he destroyed it."

1 Kings 16:7, Bible (NIV)

In chapter 15 God commands Baasha to kill Jeroboam's whole family. In chapter 16 God gets angry at Baasha for doing it. God does not let his left brain hemisphere know what his right brain hemisphere is doing.

----------------------------------------------

"The man of God came up and told the king of Israel, 'This is what the Lord says: "Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands"'... The Israelites inflicted a hundred thousand casualties on the Aramean foot soldiers in one day."

1 Kings 20:28-29, Bible (NIV)

God the Butcher continues his death marathon, killing by hands of his followers 100,000 people because they called him a god of hills and not the valleys.

----------------------------------------------

"He [prophet] said to the king [Ahab], 'This is what the Lord says: "You have set free a man I had determined should die. Therefore it is your life for his life, your people for his people."'... Men took the princes [of Ahab] and slaughtered all seventy of them. They put their heads in baskets... Then Jehu ordered, 'Put them in two piles at the entrance of the city gate until morning... The Lord has done what he announced through his servant Elijah.' So Jehu killed everyone in Jezreel who remained of the house of Ahab, as well as all his chief men, his close friends and his priests."

1 Kings 20:42, 2 Kings 10:7-10, Bible (NIV)

Watch out, God kills merciful people. The basis for God's death sentence for the released person was that he called God a god of hills and not valleys. What a horrible crime! After Ahab spared the life of that "criminal", God commanded to kill family and friends of Ahab for it.

----------------------------------------------

"She [Jezebel] wrote letters in [king] Ahab's name... In those letters she wrote... 'take him [Naboth] out and stone him to death'... So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death... Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite: 'Go down to meet Ahab king of Israel... Say to him, "This is what the Lord says: Have you not murdered a man?... dogs will lick up your blood... I will wipe out your descendants"'... Then the word of the Lord came to Elijah the Tishbite: 'Have you noticed how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself, I will not bring this disaster in his day, but I will bring it on his house in the days of his son.'"

1 Kings 21:8-29, Bible (NIV)

It's unclear whether Ahab knew what Jezebel is doing, but God will punish someone anyway. That someone was not Jezebel or Ahab, but Ahab's descendants, by wiping them out of course. Imagine someone showed up at your door to execute you as a punishment for fake letters written by someone else in your dad's name which led to a murder. Would you say this is justice? Unlikely. But that is how lame biblical "justice" works.

----------------------------------------------

"[Prophet] Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. 'Get out of here, baldy!' they said. 'Get out of here, baldy!' He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys."

2 Kings 2:23-24, Bible (NIV)

God and his buddy Elisha, full of pride, kill 42 children for being children. Whoever thinks this is an appropriate reaction of mature personalities to childish jeering has a totally broken moral compass.

----------------------------------------------

"When they first lived there, they did not worship the Lord; so he sent lions among them and they killed some of the people. It was reported to the king of Assyria: 'The people you deported and resettled in the towns of Samaria do not know what the god of that country requires. He has sent lions among them, which are killing them off, because the people do not know what he requires.'"

2 Kings 17:25-26, Bible (NIV)

God didn't let these people know what he wants from them and then killed them by lions for not doing it. Praise the divine Judge!

----------------------------------------------

"From birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies"

Psalm 58:3, Bible (NIV)

Newborns are blamed for spreading lies before they can even talk, and are labeled "wicked" before they can even do anything.

----------------------------------------------

"The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."

Proverbs 16:4, Bible (KJV)

God makes people wicked so that he could punish them for being wicked — the way he made them. What a nice guy.

----------------------------------------------

"Prepare a place to slaughter his children for the sins of their ancestors"

Isaiah 14:21, Bible (NIV)

Slaughtering children for the sins of their ancestors is an integral part of divine justice and wisdom.

----------------------------------------------

"The Lord... places in the jaws of the peoples a bit that leads them astray."

Isaiah 30:27-28, Bible (NIV)

God forces people to go astray and then he punishes them for it. Excellent!

----------------------------------------------

"Lord, I know that people's lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps."

Jeremiah 10:23, Bible (NIV)

If people can't direct their steps, why does God want to punish them for going in directions he doesn't like?

----------------------------------------------

"'I will send four kinds of destroyers against them,' declares the Lord, 'the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy. I will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.'"

Jeremiah 15:3-4, Bible (NIV)

Over and over again, God kills plenty of people as a punishment for acts of one. This time Manasseh did something, so God sent destroyers against the entire country. Sorry.

----------------------------------------------

"When... they ask you, 'Why has the Lord decreed such a great disaster against us? What wrong have we done? What sin have we committed against the Lord our God?' then say to them, 'It is because your ancestors forsook me,' declares the Lord"

Jeremiah 16:10-11, Bible (NIV)

Do you really want to obey a book that depicts a god who doesn't realize that punishing people for acts of previous generations is unfair?

----------------------------------------------

"'Because you have not listened to my words, I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,' declares the Lord, 'and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin.'"

Jeremiah 25:8-9, Bible (NIV)

"Take up your positions around Babylon... Shoot at her! Spare no arrows... this is the vengeance of the Lord... do to her as she has done to others."

Jeremiah 50:14-15, Bible (NIV)

God's cognitive dissonance messes all up again. God sent Babylonians to punish nations by destruction, but shortly after it he wants people to punish Babylonians for doing what he ordered Babylonians to do.

----------------------------------------------

"If the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet, and I... will destroy him"

Ezekiel 14:9, Bible (KJV)

God deceives prophets and then kills them for it.

----------------------------------------------

"Rebuke your mother, rebuke her... Otherwise I [God] will strip her naked... and slay her with thirst. I will not show my love to her children, because they are the children of adultery."

Hosea 2:2-4, Bible (NIV)

Children's guilt of being born out of wedlock is immense, and such children deserve a punishment despite their existence being beyond their control. Oh, yes, they deserve it, God is sure of that.

----------------------------------------------

"'Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel? You have lifted up the shrine of your king, the pedestal of your idols, the star of your god — which you made for yourselves. Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,' says the Lord"

Amos 5:25-27, Bible (NIV)

Almost 1000 years are between this message and the events in the wilderness during the exodus from Egypt. At that time God didn't get enough sacrifices and attention, and now, almost 1000 years later, he punishes a bunch of other people for it. That's not justice, that's not even a joke. That's a sickness.

----------------------------------------------

"I [God] will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped... Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations... This is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another... A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps."

Zechariah 14:2-15, Bible (NIV)

God makes the nations attack Jerusalem, he entertains himself by watching people fight, rob, and rape. Then he punishes those nations by plagues for doing what he just made them do, even the animals. Fantastic!

----------------------------------------------

"Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away."

Matthew 5:28-30, Bible (NIV); similar: Matthew 18:8-9; Mark 9:43-48

If you are an adult and you were able to never look at anyone with lust, you have health problems. God imposes some impossible rules, which inevitably lead to "deserving" hell; and then comes the "savior" to drag you into abusive relationships called biblical faith.
P.S. For especially devoted folks this call paves a road to religious self-castrations.

----------------------------------------------

"Many are invited [to the kingdom of heaven], but few are chosen."

Matthew 22:14, Bible (NIV)

"When the Gentiles heard this... all who were appointed for eternal life believed."

Acts 13:48, Bible (NIV)

God will punish the unchosen for not being chosen by him. So wise.

----------------------------------------------

"He [God] will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me'... Then they will go away to eternal punishment"

Matthew 25:41-46, Bible (NIV)

A person who never helps the poor and sick is probably not the best person, but does that person really deserve to burn forever in everlasting fiery torture for it? Really, is this punishment proportionate to the crime?

----------------------------------------------

"He that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God... The wrath of God abideth on him."

John 3:18,36, Bible (KJV)

God throws people into endless anguish for not believing stories from a book full of inconsistencies, absurdities, scientific mistakes, unfair resolutions, xenophobia, and glorification of brutal violence. What a reasonable God!

----------------------------------------------

"Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe... He went on to say, 'This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.'"

John 6:64-65, Bible (NIV)

So, God picks in advance whom to make a believer and whom to grill forever. Very fair. And where is the famous free will?

----------------------------------------------

"For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere: 'He [God] has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn'"

John 12:39-40, Bible (NIV)

So God will cast them to hell because they didn't believe because he blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts to be unbelievers. Great!

----------------------------------------------

"None [of the disciples] has been lost except the one doomed to destruction [Judas] so that Scripture would be fulfilled."

John 17:12, Bible (NIV)

God used Judas to fulfill Scripture and doomed him for it. God treats people like condoms. Even worse, a condom is used and then thrown away, but God uses people and then burns them forever for it.

----------------------------------------------

"A man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet. Then Peter said, 'Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal?'... He [Ananias] fell down and died... About three hours later his wife came in... Peter said to her... 'The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.' At that moment she fell down at his feet and died... Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events."

Acts 5:1-11, Bible (NIV)

God miraculously killed Ananias and Sapphira for lying about giving to the church the entire revenue from the sale. Is death an adequate punishment for it? It is not. But God's positions are held by fear, so he tries to spread as much of that fear as possible.

----------------------------------------------

"Just as one trespass [of Adam] resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act [of Jesus] resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous."

Romans 5:18-19, Bible (NIV)

"God made him [Jesus] who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

2 Corinthians 5:21, Bible (NIV)

God throws good people into eternal hell because of Adam's act, and rewards bad people with eternal heaven because of Jesus' act. Condemning or justifying Person X based on independent unrelated actions of Person Y is a bad grasp of principles of justice. God could have created every new human from dust, sinless, and then punish or reward everyone proportionately to their deeds. Why not? That would be much more reasonable than implying guilt or impunity by association.

"Those he [God] predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified."

Romans 8:30, Bible (NIV)

People's decisions, thoughts, and acts don't matter. God predestined all the saved to be saved, which is automatically a predestination of the rest to be not saved. Everyone in hell will be tortured forever for God's choices, not theirs.

----------------------------------------------

"Before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad — in order that God's purpose in election might stand: not by works but by him who calls... 'Jacob I [God] loved, but Esau I hated'... God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden... the objects of his wrath — prepared for destruction"

Romans 9:11-22, Bible (NIV)

God hated Esau before he was even born and had a chance to do anything. This is how God chooses to hate people. Then he hardens those people and pours his wrath on them for it. Beautiful!

----------------------------------------------

"Did God reject his people [the Israelites]?... At the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace... What the people of Israel sought so earnestly they did not obtain. The elect among them did, but the others were hardened, as it is written: 'God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear'"

Romans 11:1-8, Bible (NIV)

God chose some of the Israelites to be saved, gave the rest the eyes that cannot see the way of salvation, and will damn them for not seeing it.

----------------------------------------------

"An idol is nothing at all in the world... But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled. But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do."

1 Corinthians 8:4-8, Bible (NIV)

"Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin."

Romans 14:22-23, Bible (NIV)

If you felt like what you did was wrong, God will count you as guilty even if what you did was all right. By this logic, he should also count you as innocent when you didn't keep one of his numerous commandments but felt no guilt. Nah, it works only one way for God. The more guilt the better.

----------------------------------------------

"To God's holy people:... he [God] chose us in him before the creation of the world... he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will"

Ephesians 1:1-5, Bible (NIV)

"Brethren... God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation"

2 Thessalonians 2:13, Bible (KJV)

"To God's elect... throughout the provinces... who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father... to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood"

1 Peter 1:1-2, Bible (NIV)

The other side of this cheerful election from the beginning is that an unsaved person gets cast to hell because God didn't choose him/her to salvation in advance, to be obedient and sprinkled with his blood. The fairest god ever.

----------------------------------------------

"...nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God... because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."

Ephesians 5:5-6, Bible (KJV)

Raise a hand who never coveted anything in your life. This passage is another impossible biblical rule to make you feel as guilty as possible, and then take advantage of you through it.

----------------------------------------------

"God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned"

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12, Bible (NIV)

Did you know that God casts people into hell for believing lies that he deliberately forced onto them? Outstanding judgment skills!

----------------------------------------------

"The devil... has taken them [infidels] captive to do his will."

2 Timothy 2:26, Bible (NIV)

"I saw an angel... He seized... the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years... When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations"

Revelation 20:1-8, Bible (NIV)

God lets Satan captivate and deceive people. In the future, God will bind him for some time but then release him to deceive people again. Guess what God will do to people who became victims of Satan's deceit? Yes, he will grill them in fire forever. Blaming the victim is God's typical justice policy.

----------------------------------------------

"Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."

James 2:10, Bible (NIV)

Per God's logic, someone who didn't pay for parking becomes also guilty in rape and mass murder.

----------------------------------------------

"Sodom and Gomorrah... serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire."

Jude 1:7, Bible (NIV)

There is no act that deserves eternal (!) fire. Even murders, as horrible and unacceptable as they are, do not deserve everlasting torment. Might be a shorter or longer time frame of the punishment, depending on how far the criminal went, but eternal suffering which never ever ends is way disproportionate to any crime anyone has ever committed on earth. As Armin Navabi highlights, the only person who may deserve eternal fire is God himself, who created and applied such a crazy punishment on people. This is an incomparably bigger crime than all the crimes that humans ever committed, combined.

----------------------------------------------

"If anyone worships the beast and its image... they will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb [Jesus]. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever."

Revelation 14:9-11, Bible (NIV)

Jesus is looking forward to enjoying the endless watching of the endless torture of people, simply for worshipping the wrong way. How sick is that?

----------------------------------------------

"The fearful, and unbelieving... shall have their part in the lake which [forever] burneth with fire and brimstone"

Revelation 21:8, Bible (KJV)

Omniscient, omnipotent, omniwise God throws people to eternal fire for inconfidence and skepticism, neither of which are even in person's direct control. This adds one more feature to God: omnishit.
